Services from Intercare

Health monitoring and follow-up

Monitoring of vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oxygen saturation). Condition management and progress follow-up.

Wound care

Care and follow-up of acute and chronic wounds. Treatment of venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot, and other injuries.

Medication and treatments

Organisation and supervision of daily medication. Administration of intravenous, intramuscular or subcutaneous treatments, under medical prescription.

Specialist procedures

Urinary catheterisation. Stoma care and management. Care and maintenance of intravascular devices for long-term treatments.

Day-to-day support

Personal hygiene support: showering, grooming, dressing and footwear. Accompaniment to medical appointments.

How does a visit work

1. Initial enquiry

Before the first visit, we get in touch to understand your situation and make sure we can help. It is a brief, no-obligation conversation, completely free of charge.

2. Initial assessment

On the first visit, I take time to get to know the patient before any care begins. I review their general health, go over their medication and establish a plan tailored to their specific needs.

3. The home visit

Each session lasts approximately one hour and adapts to the needs of the day: wound care, medication, personal hygiene or simply companionship and monitoring.

4. Follow-up and next appointment

At the end of the visit, I make sure the patient’s needs have been met. Before leaving, we coordinate the next appointment so that everything is arranged in advance.

Real care does not rush. It takes the time it needs, adapts to each person and never loses sight of what matters: making the patient feel well cared for and accompanied.

Hi, I am Andrea

Intercare was born from my vocation for helping and caring for people. Because the act of 'caring' must also bring calm, confidence and wellbeing.

After more than twelve years working in hospitals, care homes and clinics in Spain and Germany, I decided to commit to a different model. One with time for each patient, with genuine listening and attention to detail.

I speak Spanish, English and German because I have lived and worked in all three languages, and I know what it means to be ill far from home without being able to explain yourself properly.

I created Intercare with the ambition to grow, and with the commitment to never lose what brought it into being: human care as a priority.

Registered Nurse, Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Master's in Emergency Care, Universidad Cardenal Herrera.

Master's in Clinical Nephrology and Haemodialysis, Universidad Nebrija.

More than 12 years of experience in socio-healthcare residential settings, home nursing, hospitalisation and emergency care in Spain and Germany.

Official German language certificate TELC B2 (Hamburg, 2015).

B2 level in English, Escuela Oficial de Idiomas.

Ongoing training in: advanced life support, wound and ulcer care, oncology, ostomy care, emergency pharmacology, patient safety and advanced nursing assessment, among others.

Intercare operates primarily in the south of Gran Canaria, from San Agustƭn to MogƔn.
* Intercare services in El Salobre, Anfi del Mar, Amadores, Puerto Rico, MogƔn, etc. Will include a travel supplement.
